Sheds, Carports & Boat Covers Delivered in Crystal River, FL

Crystal River runs on the water. Folks here keep boats, pontoons, kayaks, and scallop gear, the marinas and dive shops stay busy all summer, and good covered storage tends to fill up the moment you get it. From our lot up US 441 in Belleview, about an hour east, we deliver and set up sheds, cabins, carports, boat and RV covers, and metal buildings all over Crystal River and the rest of Citrus County. Tell us what you are storing or parking, and we will get you the right building for it, priced with delivery and setup included so there is no surprise when the truck pulls in.

Sandalwood Sheds & More is a veteran-owned, family-run dealer in Belleview, Florida delivering sheds, carports, and boat and RV covers in Crystal River, FL and across Citrus County. Crystal River, a Nature Coast town on Kings Bay, sits about 50 miles west of our lot, near the edge of our included delivery ring and well within our custom-order range. In-stock buildings arrive in 7 to 10 days, all built for Florida heat, damp, and coastal weather.

Why Buy a Shed or Cover From a Local Dealer Near Crystal River?

A coastal tourist town draws a lot of out-of-town sellers happy to drop a building and disappear. The flyer looks fine and the price looks low, then a thin metal unit shows up that streaks with rust and racks loose within a couple of storm seasons, and the seller two counties away stops answering the phone. Out here on the water, where salt air and afternoon storms are part of the deal, that gamble costs more than it does inland. You deserve a straight answer and a building that earns its keep, and that is far easier to get from people who live up the road and want to see you again at the lot.

That is how we work. Joe has been building for 30 years, custom homes included, and since taking over Sandalwood he has delivered around 200 buildings across these six counties with zero repossessions on the lot. Walk some competitors’ rows and you will count six or eight repos sitting there, because somebody got sold more building than they could carry. We would rather talk you into the right one once than sell you the wrong one twice. Sandalwood is veteran-owned and family-run, and we are a Stor-Mor authorized dealer, so our sheds are some of the most customizable you can buy. When you call after delivery, you reach the same family that sold it to you.

What We Deliver to Crystal River Properties

Tell us the job, and we will point you to the right building.

Boat, RV & Vehicle Covers

This is boat country, plain and simple. Kings Bay, the river, and scallop season mean a lot of pontoons, bass boats, kayaks, and campers that the Gulf sun would rather chew up. We size regular, A-frame, and vertical-roof covers for whatever you run, and we anchor them for coastal wind.

Storage Sheds

Lofted barns, utility sheds, garden sheds, and economy buildings, all Stor-Mor built for Florida moisture and termites. The 10×16 is our number one seller for gear, mowers, and overflow.

Carports & Covered Parking

Keep the truck, the golf cart, and the trailer out of the salt spray and the sun with a cover sized to your driveway or acreage.

Metal Buildings & Workshops

Steel buildings and enclosed structures for a workshop, a dive or charter operation, equipment, or a growing waterfront business, built and priced to your size.

If you came in thinking shed and you really need a cover, or the other way around, we will tell you. The point is the building that does the job, not the biggest ticket.

Storage Built for Kings Bay, the Boats, and the Season

Crystal River is built around the water. Kings Bay and its springs draw boats, divers, and manatee tours all year, and when scallop season opens in the summer the ramps and marinas run full tilt. A lot of folks here keep a boat or two, a camper, and the gear that goes with all of it. The same sun that makes the bay glow is hard on what you park beside the house. UV breaks down hulls, seals, decals, and gelcoat, and a salt-edged storm finds every weak spot. A cover is the cheapest insurance you can buy for a rig that cost you real money.

It is not only homeowners. Charters, dive and tackle shops, and other waterfront outfits need covered storage and workspace that can take the climate. We size a building for the actual job, whether that is a vertical-roof cover for a pontoon, a lofted barn for the mowers and the dock gear, or a steel workshop for a business that runs hard through scallop season. We deliver and anchor it for Florida wind, and the price we quote includes delivery and setup.

Does Metal Hold Up This Close to the Gulf?

Here is the straight version, because nobody on the water is served by a sales pitch. Salt air is harder on metal than the air ten miles inland, and any honest dealer will tell you so. That does not mean steel is wrong for Crystal River. It means you buy it right and place it right. Our carports and covers use quality galvanized steel, and where you set a cover, how it drains, and how you rinse it down all change how long it looks new. We will walk through that with you instead of pretending salt does not exist.

For storage closer to the bay, a Stor-Mor wood shed with treated LP siding and a treated floor often handles coastal damp and humidity beautifully, and it will not corrode. If a metal building is the right answer for your job, we will say so and tell you how to keep it strong. If wood is the better call for your spot, we will say that too. You get the building that lasts where you actually live, not the one that was easiest to sell.

Buildings Built to Last in the Florida Heat and Damp

Florida is hard on buildings. The heat, the afternoon storms, the damp off the bay, and the termites will find a cheap shed and take it apart. The buildings we sell are made to stand up to it. Our Stor-Mor sheds use an LP ProStruct treated floor built for moisture and termites, a double top plate instead of a single 2×4 for stronger walls, and double studs every four feet where the siding seam lands so the nails hold. The gable vents are framed, house-grade vents, not a plastic piece tacked onto plywood. The buildings are engineered for 160 MPH wind, and the LP SmartSide siding and trim carry a 50-year siding warranty with a 40-year metal roof.

That is the difference between buying once and buying again every five or six years. We are not the cheapest building you can find, and we will tell you exactly why. Over ten years, the building that does not rot, rack, or rust is the one that actually costs you less, and it still looks right in your yard when the newer places around Crystal River have already replaced theirs.

How It Works

1. Tell us what you are using it for. Storage, a workshop, a she-shed, a cover for the boat or the camper. We start with the job, not the price tag.

2. We confirm the right size and style and price it all-in. One number, delivery and setup included, with financing options if you want them.

3. We deliver, level, and set it up, then stand behind it. In-stock buildings in 7 to 10 days, custom in about 20 to 25, and we are the ones you call afterward.

Put it off, and you are still tripping over gear or watching the boat fade at the dock. Get it right, and you have clean storage or a covered rig set on your property by people who know this coast.

Do You Need a Permit for a Shed in Crystal River?

Here is the honest version, because skipping this step can turn into a stop-work order or a building you have to move. The rules in Citrus County are not the same as the ones you may have heard for Marion County, and Citrus tends to be stricter about accessory structures, so do not assume the same size carries over from one side of the line to the other. If your address is inside the City of Crystal River, the City handles permitting through its own building department. If you are in unincorporated Crystal River, you work with the Citrus County Building Division. Either way, setback, zoning, and any HOA rules still apply, which means the building has to sit the right distance from your property lines.

There is one more thing that matters near the coast. A lot of waterfront and low-lying lots sit in a flood zone, and in a Special Flood Hazard Area there can be added rules on how and where a structure is placed. We do not pull the permit for you, and a permit is not required for us to deliver, but we will tell you straight what we know and point you to the right office so you are not guessing. A quick call to the Citrus County Building Division at the Lecanto government complex, or to the City of Crystal River for an in-town lot, settles it for your exact property. Getting this right up front is a lot cheaper than fixing it after the fact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver sheds to Crystal River, FL?

Yes. Crystal River is about 50 miles west of our lot at 9946 US 441 in Belleview, and we deliver sheds, carports, boat and RV covers, and metal buildings across Crystal River and the rest of Citrus County. We will confirm delivery on your exact address when we quote you.

Crystal River sits right around the edge of our included delivery and setup ring, so we will confirm whether your address is fully included or carries a small distance adder when we quote you. Custom factory orders deliver free up to about 170 miles, so either way you are covered. No curbside surprises.

Yes, and they are popular on the bay. We size covers for a bass boat, a pontoon, a motorhome, or a work trailer in regular, A-frame, and vertical-roof styles, and we anchor them for coastal wind. Tell us what you are parking and we will size it right.

It depends on whether your address is inside the City of Crystal River or in unincorporated Citrus County, and on the size. Citrus County is generally stricter than Marion County, so many sheds and carports need a building or zoning permit, and coastal lots in a flood zone can have added rules. Setbacks and HOA rules still apply, and we will point you to the right office.

Price depends on size, style, and upgrades, and every quote is all-in with delivery and setup included. As a rough idea, a plain 10×16 with double windows runs about $5,300 delivered and set up, and the same size loaded with options costs more. Tell us the build you want and we will give you a real number.

Salt air is harder on metal than inland air, and we will not pretend otherwise. We use quality galvanized steel and help you with placement and upkeep so a cover gives you years of service, and where wood is the better call near the water, we will tell you. The goal is the building that lasts where you live.

Yes. We offer financing through Launch Credit Union, a rent-to-own program with no credit check, and 90 days same as cash. Joe approves on debt-to-income, not only a credit score, so you do not over-borrow on a building you do not need.

Delivery and setup confirmed up front, buildings made for Florida and coastal weather, and a local family that answers the phone after the sale. When you know what you are using it for, we will size it right, price it all-in, and bring it to you. Tell us and we will take it from there.
